Restoration Work List
Update 1/06/07, RAZORBACK RESTORATION COMMITTEE
Present
John Albers, Bob Christians, David Dinwiddie, Jim Franks, Bill Garrison, Billy
Hollaway, Paul Honeck, Joe Mathis, Ray Wewers, Greg Zonner and Sea Daddy
Tom Salisbury.

The present goals of the committee are:

1)        Help determine how to install donated Lennox
         air-conditioning equipment to provide atmosphere control
         throughout the boat.
2)        Preserve the exterior of the boat.
a)        Get volunteers to work
b)        Set up work days
c)        Help remove rust from superstructure components
d)        Help rebuild superstructure components
e)        Help with preparation to remove clam shells that need off site repairs
(when finances and equipment are available).

Other items to consider
1)        Repair of light fixtures in the boat
2)        Repair of torpedo room bunk rollers
3)        Method to raise periscopes and other masts.
4)        Restoration of galley equipment
5)        Installation of head facilities

Top Priorities

1) Replace Decking aft from fiberglass clam shells to aft torpedo room hatch.
2) Replace mooring lines
3) Repair Torpedo Loading slides

The USS Razorback Pinged for the first time in 4 years 7/15/06!
Tom got the UQN Fathometer working!
He also has the BQR2B Receiver Section, Bearing Time Recorder, Azimuth
Indicators (Sonar and Conning Tower) The Conning Tower Bearing Recorder
Repeater, and the Conning Tower Sonar Speaker Working.  He also has the
DUUG1C Echo ranging direction finder, the UNQ 7 Tape recorder, the NLM 1
Noise Monitoring system, and the Rycom Frequency Ident system!
Thanks Tom for all the hard work!

We need to also Thank Ray and John for all thier hard work in scrapping and
painting. See picture in restoration section. The work is hard and dirty and
(HOT)

New Equipment (Old Stuff) has been added to the USS Razorback.
Do you know what it is and where it was put?
Thanks to Billy Hollaway who worked in the heat to break it apart and get
it in the boat and then put it back together and installed it in it’s proper
location.
