| VETERAN’S DAY REMEMBERED The Ozark Chapter of U S Submarine Veteran’s Inc. of Arkansas made their inaugural ride this Veteran’s Day, completing a 121 mile motorcycle ride to various central Arkansas veteran’s parks and memorials. Flags were placed at the Medal of Honor Plaza near the state capitol, WWI/WWII/Korea/Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial adjacent to the Lonoke County courthouse, 39th Infantry CIB (2003-2005) Memorial in Searcy, Veteran’s Park in McRae and the USS SNOOK Submarine Veterans of WWII Memorial in North Little Rock. A brief “Tolling of the Boats” ceremony for submarines lost during November 1942-1944 was also conducted at the USS SNOOK Memorial. Lunch at Creegan’s Irish Pub followed the USS SNOOK ceremony.
