Minutes from USS Razorback Base meeting held on February 15, 2025

Invocation by Alan Malone

Reading of the minutes of the last meeting by Joe Mathis. Greg Zonner made motion to accept minutes as read. John Barr seconded motion. Minutes accepted by voice vote.

Treasurer’s report by Pete Jilik. Alan Malone made motion to accept treasurer’s report as read. Greg Zonner seconded motion. Treasurer’s report accepted by voice vote.

Base Storekeeper, Pete Jilek, recommended the purchase of flags for the base parade float. He assured the base the flags would by made in the USA. Greg Zonner made motion to purchase flags for the base float. Alan Malone seconded the motion. Motion approved by voice vote.

Old business:

Base is registered to participate in the Little Rock/North Little Rock Saint Patrick’s day parade on March 15, 2025. Those participating will arrive at  AIMM at 10:30 am to decorate the float.

Base campout scheduled for May 2025 has been canceled due to lack of interest.

Moved the working party and BBQ at the North Little Rock RV park from April to May

Moved the submarine birthday dinner from May to April.

Greg Schwerman confirmed the June 21 meeting will be at Colton’s in Cabot.

Greg Zonner confirmed the Traveler’s baseball game has been confirmed for July 26.

New Business:

Pete Jilek recommended we look into starting a college scholarship fund for the base.

No other new business or good of the order.

Billy Hollaway made a motion to adjourn. Alan Malone seconded the motion. Motion approved by voice vote.
